The GreenHouse will feature many new sustainable technologies including:
- A sealed & conditioned attic space with Icynene spray foam insulation
- A grey water system and "living machine" that utilizes and filters water from the sinks to flush the toilet
- A solar tube installation to help naturally light the inside office
- Structural Insulated Panals (SIPs) for the new addition to increase efficiency, reduce HVAC loads and provide hurricane protection
- Plyboo kitchen cabinets
- Recycled glass countertops
- Cork and natural marmoleum flooring
- Workstations built from Dakota Burl and Paperstone recycled content products
- No-VOC paints, finished and American Clay earth plaster
- Reclaimed hardwood flooring
- Duel-flush toilet and low-flow bath fixtures
- Energy efficient lighting provided by Philips
